The new Makati restaurant reimagines Japanese cuisine through seasonal ingredients, artisanal techniques, and immersive hospitality.

With the metro’s growing gastronomic landscape, finding what you’re craving is no longer like finding gold dust. Diners today can satisfy diverse tastes while staying true to the values that make each cuisine distinct. Located in the heart of the city, Shido at Makati Shangri-La joins the evolving food scene, bringing an artisanal Japanese village experience to Manila.

The name Shido means “starting in motion,” a philosophy rooted in evolution. Here, Japanese cuisine, culture, and hospitality are constantly being reinterpreted while remaining true to tradition. In this spirit, Shido offers immersive dining experiences that allow guests to experience Japan without leaving Manila.
