Lollapalooza is about to kick off, with big names set to make their debut at this year’s edition.

Heatwaves may be brewing, but so is the beginning of festival season. It is that time of the year again when Grant Park in Chicago is packed with festivalgoers and artists alike for a four-day music festival. After months of anticipation following the lineup announcement in March, Lollapalooza 2026 is finally set to kick off.

Founded by Perry Farrell in 1991, Lollapalooza is a massive four-day annual music festival held at Grant Park, featuring over 100 artists spanning rock, hip-hop, electronic, and pop across eight stages: T-Mobile Stage, Bud Light Stage, Perry’s Stage, Allianz Stage, Tito’s Handmade Vodka Stage, Bacardi Stage, BMI Stage, and Kidzapalooza Stage. The festival will run from July 30 to August 2, 2026, with Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Lorde, and Olivia Dean headlining the event.

While the festival began with its alt-rock roots, it has since evolved to embrace a more diverse lineup of artists across different genres. Among the familiar names, Jennie of Blackpink will perform at the festival for the first time, headlining one of its main stages as a solo artist. Meanwhile, Chicago-area native John Summit will also make his official debut as the headliner of Lollapalooza’s main EDM stage.

It has not been long since Filipino artists represented the country at major music festivals, but this edition of Lollapalooza will also mark a milestone for the Philippine music scene. P-pop group SB19 will make its debut as the first Filipino act to perform at the festival. SB19 is set to perform on the Allianz Stage, which is known for hosting dynamic live acts, indie artists, and global genre pioneers throughout the weekend.

With these artists debuting at Lollapalooza, the festival continues to set the tone for the rest of the festival season.
