Zendaya Loved Louis Vuitton Resort 2027 So Much, She Left Wearing It

Zendaya! Emma Stone! Chase Infiniti! A starry crowd stepped out in New York last night for the Louis Vuitton Resort 2027 show. His second cruise collection showcased in the city, Nicolas Ghesquière sent out an offering that reveled in his first dreams of the big apple years ago, and all the different energies and spirits that first captivated him, living side-by-side in one place. The duality of the updown/downtown sensibilities, he told Nicole Phelps, was very much imbued in the clothes: ruffles next to spandex, skirt suits and short shorts.

Zendaya approached dressing for the event with similar aplomb. First, she arrived to the front row in a silvery draped mini dress by Louis Vuitton, with a curved neckline and bell sleeves, and her slick and curled bixie cut matching the clean, contoured lines. Wearing matching silver pumps, jewelry was kept to shimmering Tiffany & Co. link earrings in white gold with pave diamond, and her gold Jessica McCormack wedding ring.

Later, having seen the show and stepped back out once more for the after-party, Zendaya had made a fresh-off-the-runway quick-change. The actor wore look 14 from the cruise collection: a sculpted and cropped black motorcycle jacket paired with canary yellow satin boxer shorts with a white and khaki belt cinched waistband. She forewent the show styling (a gray bucket hat, monogrammed hobo bag, and frilled silver boxer boots) in favor of those same silver pumps.

As a longtime house ambassador, Louis Vuitton has been a go-to for Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach. For one of her first looks on The Drama press tour, she cosplayed as a wedding cake topper in a white LV column gown with an oversized black bow that fell into a cascading train. Her last appearance at the Met Gala in 2025 saw her outfitted in the chicest white zoot suit to match the “Tailored For You” theme care of Ghesquière. And in her more relaxed day to day fits in London with her now-husband Tom Holland, she’ll pair an LV tote with YMC knits, Birkenstocks, and straight-leg jeans.

Zendaya has a pretty busy Q3: Spider-man, Dune, The Odyssey. Trust we’ll see more of this collection on her soon. (Look 17 and 19, we hope.)

Zendaya showcased two distinct looks. She arrived at the Frick Collection in a minimalist, draped gray minidress with an asymmetrical neckline. Later, for the after-party, she changed into a look that had just debuted on the runway: a cropped motorcycle jacket paired with bright lemon-yellow silky boxer shorts.

The look Zendaya wore to the after-party was pulled “straight off the runway” only minutes after the show concluded. This move highlighted her and her stylist Law Roach’s ability to turn real-time fashion moments into viral trends.

By wearing silky boxer shorts, Zendaya cemented the “boxer shorts trend.” Her yellow pair, cinched with a two-tone canvas belt, immediately signaled a shift toward incorporating athletic-inspired silk loungewear into high-fashion street style.

The show took place at the historic Frick Collection in New York City. The venue hosted an array of high-profile celebrities, including Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, and Emma Stone, who gathered to see Nicolas Ghesquière’s latest collection.

As with her most iconic appearances, Zendaya was styled by her long-time collaborator Law Roach. Together, they curated her two-look transformation, ensuring both the elegant minidress and the avant-garde boxer shorts ensemble aligned perfectly with the house’s aesthetic.
