Park Bo-gum Steps Into a New Role as OMEGA Ambassador

Park Bo-gum has been named the newest global ambassador of OMEGA, joining the ranks of the Swiss watchmaker’s roster of internationally acclaimed actors.

OMEGA confirmed Park Bo-gum as its newest global ambassador on December 16, placing the Korean actor alongside George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, Eddie Redmayne, Naomi Harris, Daniel Craig, and Hyun Bin.

Speaking on Park Bo-gum’s appointment as an ambassador, OMEGA president and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann shares, “His versatility, dedication to his craft, and genuine passion for watchmaking have long captured OMEGA’s attention.” In a 2012 interview, former OMEGA president Stephen Urquhart explained that the brand chooses ambassadors because they “bring human faces and emotions to the brand.”

While OMEGA ambassadors come from a range of professional backgrounds, Urquhart noted that they are individuals who have achieved remarkable success in their careers and have also made an impact through social engagement.

Since his debut in the 2011 film Blind, Park Bo-gum has built an impressive body of work, including acclaimed dramas such as Reply 1988 (2015) and Love in the Moonlight (2016), earning praise both in Korea and internationally. Most recently, he showcased his nuanced acting and star power in the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines (2025), and took on a physically demanding role as a former national boxing champion in the drama Good Boy (2025).

Following his appointment, Park Bo-gum took a closer look at OMEGA, exploring the brand’s timepieces and learning about its history. The experience clearly made an impression. “It is a great honour to be appointed as an ambassador and to share OMEGA’s philosophy and values with the world,” he adds.

For the announcement, Park Bo-gum opted for the Seamaster Planet Ocean in stainless steel with a vivid blue dial (217.30.42.21.01.002).

With his presence across genres, Park Bo-gum continues to redefine his craft, with his upcoming ventures with OMEGA generating excitement among fans and casual viewers alike.
