BINI is set to bring their signature energy to the first Filipino Music Awards, joining a lineup that spans celebrated names and new voices in OPM.

On October 21, the SM Mall of Asia Arena will host the inaugural Filipino Music Awards (FMAs), a night designed to honor the country’s music makers, past and present. Among the performers taking the stage is BINI, the eight-member P-pop girl group whose rise has mirrored the growing momentum of contemporary Filipino pop.

Since debuting in 2021, BINI, made up of Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena, has steadily built up their reputation through charting singles, tight choreography, and a clear sense of identity as a group. Songs like “Pantropiko,” “Karera,” and “Salamin, Salamin” have become fixtures of local playlists and social media feeds, with “Pantropiko” even making them the first P-pop act to top Billboard Philippines’ Philippine Songs Chart. Earlier this year, they were recognized at the Billboard Philippines Women in Music awards. Last year, they also graced the cover of Vogue Philippines, where they opened up about their journey as P-pop idols.

Their upcoming FMA performance places them alongside an eclectic lineup that spans generations of Filipino music, including SB19, IV of Spades, Lolita Carbon, Yeng Constantino, and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. It’s a bill that underscores the FMAs’ ambition: to celebrate the legacy and evolving sound of Original Pilipino Music.

Beyond the performances, the evening will present 20 awards across categories ranging from industry achievements to fan-voted honors, marking a milestone moment for OPM.

Produced by AGC Power Holdings Corp. and presented by Modern Media Group Inc. (home to Billboard Philippines, NYLON Manila, Rolling Stone Philippines, and Robb Report Philippines) the FMAs aim to set a new standard for celebrating Filipino talent on the global stage.

For BINI, who have often been described as “The Nation’s Girl Group,” it’s a chance to stand alongside the artists who paved the way, while showing how far P-pop has come, and how much further it can go.

Complimentary tickets to the FMAs are available exclusively through the purchase of Filipino Music Awards Magazine Packages on SariSari.Shopping, beginning September 10 until October 19, 2025 only. For more information, visit filipinomusicawards.com.
