The Easy Celebrity Wellness Hack You Can Definitely Do At Home

instagram.com/rhode

If waking up bleary-eyed and dazed sounds like your morning routine, Hailey Bieber might just have the right hack for you. Not just Hailey, actually, but Bella Hadid and Romy Mars (daughter of Sofia Coppola and easily TikTok’s favourite nepo baby), also. All of these women are fans of facial icing. A simple way to stop feeling sluggish and lethargic (and refresh your skin at the same time) just fill a bowl with ice and cold water and then dunk your face in it. Shivering? Us too.

Ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, Bieber prepped her skin by putting ice and cold water into a large glass bowl and gently placing her face in for a few seconds. A faster alternative to using a handheld cryotherapy tool (like a wand or stick), using a bowl of ice water means your entire face is targeted at once. Don’t be surprised, though, if you find you can only manage a few seconds at a time. Facial icing is not for the faint of heart. To finish off her skincare routine, Bieber applied a de-puffing mask (rumoured to be a forthcoming Rhode release) and a hydrating sheet mask.

As for Romy Mars, the indie-pop singer revealed her facial ice bath method via a delightfully chaotic vlog. (For what it’s worth, it’s not quite on par with that helicopter saga, but there’s a similar vibe.) “Okay, guys, this is my wellness routine… it just instantly makes me happy,” she announced to her 274k TikTok followers before proceeding to dip her face into a bowl of ice water. “Once I’ve done that, I feel refreshed,” she said, before moving on to make a smoothie with sea moss gel and Manuka honey.

British Vogue cover star, supermodel and internet big sister Bella Hadid agrees, sharing that the method always helps when she’s feeling a bit anxious, “I do it for about 30 seconds, it makes me feel a bit more clear in my brain too…”
