The Grant by Fashion Aid Philippines is open to Filipino designers aged 18 to 30 specializing in fashion, accessories, furniture, and industrial design. Applicants must be currently residing in the Philippines.
Talent is universal, but opportunity is not, and this is precisely what Fashion Aid Philippines aims to address. “I’m sick and tired of hearing about artistic directors for luxury brands who come from towns of 2,000 people, who grew up watching their mothers sew. We have to make that happen for the Philippines,” he says designer Yiouri Augousti at the launch event at Chef Jessie in Rockwell.
Fashion Aid Philippines is committed to breaking barriers and creating a level playing field for Filipino talent by providing opportunities to those who might otherwise never have had a chance to pursue their dreams on a global stage. “The Grant 2025 is a nationwide competition designed to identify and nurture exceptional talent, providing recipients with the chance to study at prestigious academies in the fashion capitals of the world,” he explains Paul Cabral, president of Fashion Aid Philippines. “This initiative is our investment in the future of Filipino design. It supports emerging designers through mentorship, cultural exchange, and the opportunity to become part of a larger movement that highlights identity, heritage, and innovation.”
What sets this initiative apart is its focus on uncovering and nurturing hidden talent from remote provinces and villages, where access to resources and global exposure is often limited. By offering a platform for these designers to showcase their creations, Fashion Aid Philippines empowers them to present their work to a broader, international audience. The winners will also have the opportunity to display their collections in a rotating gallery in Paris, a prestigious platform that offers priceless visibility, with the potential to create connections that could define the next generation of Filipino creatives.

How to Apply
The competition is open to Filipino designers, 18 to 30 years old, in the fields of fashion, accessories, and lifestyle (including furniture and industrial design), who are currently residing in the Philippines. Interested participants must submit a scanned copy of a valid government-issued ID along with a brief video presentation (up to five minutes) showcasing their featured product. Submissions should be sent to [email protected] between April 1 and May 15, 2025.
