American-born fashion designer Tiffany McCall followed her calling in fashion and eventually created a stage for designers to showcase their work
At 19, the American-born Tiffany McCall was already a fashion designer opening shop with a boutique in Atlanta with Tiffany McCall Couture. Even with the help of her father who was once the CFO of her company, the Paris-based designer-producer saw firsthand how difficult it was for emerging designers to gain visibility.
Her eureka moment: creating Tiffany’s Fashion Week, a fashion design community and event dedicated to giving designers a stage outside the traditional fashion circuits. From a single show in Paris, it has grown into international editions with events in Monaco, Venice, Cannes, and Dubai. Other editions also follow the fashion calendars of New York and Paris.
“We have designers from all over the world, such as Lebanon, Puerto Rico, Monaco, Italy, France, and of course, the UAE,” shares McCall. The shows produced by McCall and her team are known for blending cultural influences with contemporary design.
Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks also help designers with European manufacturers and agents to present to international markets and sell their collections globally.
