Dr. Ruthlyn Pecolera-Salvosa shares how she grows her confidence through her clients
Building up self-esteem can sometimes be rooted in how comfortable someone is in their own skin. Society has since popularized countless means towards the same end yet for some, a true change may be what is needed to welcome a new beginning.
Cosmetic surgeries such as Blepharoplasty and body contouring are meant to reduce excess skin as a way to revitalize once physical appearance, yet similar procedures like rhinoplasty could prove beneficial to overall breathing apart from mere aesthetics.
May it be for cosmetic or medical reasons, RPS Aesthetics has rapidly grown to provide not only for their clientele but even their staff with opportunities to face what is to come with a renewed sense of confidence.
Alongside its founder Dr. Ruthlyn Pecolera-Salvosa, RPS Aesthetics continues to grow its community of equally-passionate surgeons in empowering and cultivating a culture that showcases the potential of pursuing passion within work.
Stitching it together
With the majority of her experience having been in the medical field, the unexpected responsibility of becoming a business owner was the main challenge Dr. Ruthlyn had to overcome in establishing her business. In spite of this, the surgeon remained resolved in her passion, and took the initiative to learn the ropes on her own.
“‘You, But Better’, our brand’s tagline has always been my vision for my patients and this has been my inspiration to pursue my practice,” she expounds. In finding her own admiration towards her career, she, too, embraced the uncertainties of life as it was the unexpected success of her company which brought her to where she is today.
Defining confidence
After having had exposure on mainstream media for her work, the self-made businesswoman decided to use her growing reputation as a means to improve and introduce new meaning to cosmetic surgery. “I would also like to break the stigma that the [ones] who succumb to [these] [aesthetic transformations are] only for vanity,” she states.
With the establishment of RPS Aesthetics, Dr. Ruthlyn also utilized her reputation as means to creating employment opportunities with emphasis towards working mothers. Being one herself, the doctor recognizes the various responsibilities mothers undertake in providing for their families; and in doing so, she offers her maternal team their rightful flexibility and leniency while still ensuring that the quality of their services remain in line with hers.
Together, but better
As her businesses are empowered by women, Dr. Ruthlyn foresees a future where women are able to express their passions not only through their professions but simultaneously with their curiosity and creativity. She acknowledges that the company’s social media presence has played an integral role in its success as she states, “We used it as a tool to do powerful storytelling and in a way educating my patients about the physical and emotional transformations that they are about to experience.”
Today, Dr. Ruthlyn Pecolera-Salvosa continues to manage RPS Aesthetics alongside Cinco Marias Aesthetics Clinic and Wellness Spa, and DRENTS Multispecialty and Aesthetic Clinic. With her women-led staff and like-minded colleagues, they continue to apply the company’s tagline and mythos while catering to their clients. “These changes [convert] to self-worth and confidence [which I’ll] be very happy to give to my patients,” she states.
