Bold colors, graphic lines, and glossy lips are the heart of KIKO Milano’s newest collection for Women’s Month
At Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025, makeup took a rebellious turn. The pared down, minimalist looks took a step back as bold statements like glitter-drenched lips and double-winged eyeliner makeup signaled the revival of maximalist beauty.
Milan has long embraced the flamboyant maximalist aesthetic, from its ornate gothic cathedrals to eclectic interiors. But its artistic spirit isn’t confined to historic spaces, it spills onto the street with vivid murals and graffiti. Often referred to as an “open-air museum,” Milan’s Ortica, Greco, and Isola districts are home to colorful street art by local and international artists.
Italian street artist Luca Font translates graffiti and his signature style that blends bold graphics, primary colors, and abstract designs drawn from cubism and futurism into a collaboration with KIKO Milano’s Street Heart Collection. “Graffiti is a statement,” says Font about his collaboration with the makeup brand. “And when you want to make a statement, there’s no point doing it quietly.”
Inspired by the energy of street art, the ensemble features packaging that mirrors the fluidity of graffiti and an exploration of color. According to KIKO Milano, the Street Heart Collection also aims to empower this Women’s Month, serving as a reminder that beauty, like art, has no limits.
Available in the Philippines is a range of makeup products that feature seven essentials to “empower women and express themselves,” beginning with the Street Heart Forget The Filter Multi-Tasking Face Primer. The makeup base, formulated with niacinamide and ginger extract, hydrates and preps the skin for a soft-focus effect.
