After speaking at the seventh iteration of Vogue Talks, Imran Amed, along with other local leaders in fashion, business, and design, congregated at the heart of the Raffles Hotel

In a testament to the relentless pursuit of innovation, Vogue Philippines recently hosted an event that underscored the country’s potential to influence global fashion. The Vogue Talks event, held on July 9th, featured a keynote by Imran Amed, the influential founder of the Business of Fashion (BoF). Amed’s discussion with Vogue Philippines’ own editor-in-chief Bea Valdes and fashion director Pam Quiñones highlighted the country’s rich cultural heritage and emerging local talent as vital components poised to elevate Filipino fashion onto the international stage.

Raffles Hotel served as the venue for the dinner after Imran’s Vogue Talks, which was a site that embodied a blend of historical heritage and modern luxury. This combination reflects Vogue Talks’ appreciation for the past, present, and future of fashion and design, as the hotel’s history dates back to its origins in Singapore in 1887. The meticulously preserved interiors of its Manila counterpart create an ambiance that honors tradition while embracing the contemporary, which in itself is a testament to its ability to adapt to changing times, much like the fashion industry itself.
