Janine Gutierrez and Jericho Rosales on Embracing Their Own Timing

The real-life couple reflect on timing, self-care, and stepping into their prime in their latest collaboration with Belo’s Ulthera Prime

The early 2000s were a definitive time in teleseryes, especially for a young Jericho Rosales who rose to fame in a TV series that ran for two years with 476 episodes. This breakout role was followed by movies and successful TV show runs.

By 28 years old, he was also winning acting awards for films like Alagwa and Baler. Alongside his film and TV work, he explored passions outside the industry through surfing, motorcycling, and music. Even now, at the top of his game, the actor was in no rush.

“Being in your prime is that time in your life when you’re just really loving and enjoying everything that you’re doing in your life and every decision that you’re making,” he shares. “You’re happy with it. You’re happy with the results, whatever it is.”

Janine Gutierrez’s journey has been equally thoughtful and deliberate. Known for her award-winning performance in Babae at Baril and her roles in Dirty Linen and Lavender Fields (where she starred alongside Rosales). “I guess I was always heavily influenced by my relatives,” she says. “They were always so passionate about their work. So, I always try to do my best and work hard and make them proud, and make myself proud.”

Though their trajectories differ, Rosales and Gutierrez share a similar rhythm: they move when it feels right and trust in their own timing. That same mindset is also how they approach self-care through Ulthera Prime by Belo Medical Group.

“My line of job, most of the time, requires that I look fresh,”

“My line of job, most of the time, requires that I look fresh,” admits Rosales. “Of course, I have to embrace that. You can’t just shy away from that demand and Ulthera Prime gave me that.” As someone who enjoys adventure, he adds, “Belo just offers support for men like me. So, I just made that commitment to really taking care of myself and my skin.”

For Gutierrez, the treatment offered both immediate and lasting results. “One of the things I’m so happy that I did was Ulthera Prime, because I really noticed an instant effect in the tightness of my face and there was an instant lift,” shares the 35-year-old actress. “It’s a low-maintenance routine, but the effect is so apparent. That extra boost of confidence, that’s what really helps me feel beautiful.”

Ulthera Prime is a non-invasive skin-lifting treatment offered exclusively at the Belo Medical Group. First introduced by Dr. Vicki Belo in 2007, the treatment uses ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen deep within the skin, but is now “faster, more precise, and more comfortable.”

“What makes it so effective is how it targets the skin at different depths and intensities based on what each area needs,” explains Dr. Belo. Through the non-invasive treatment, it creates a naturally lifted effect by shortening the suspensory retaining ligaments that hold the skin to the bone.

Whether it’s eating well, staying active, or making time for treatments at Belo Nexa, the actor-couple’s approach is simple: support each other and honor what feels right in the moment. “That’s who we support each other: mentally, physically, emotionally, [and] spiritually,” adds Rosales.
