For the entrepreneur, beauty is about to go beyond just being accessible and transformative.
“My journey began with a simple yet powerful belief: that beauty has the ability to transform lives not just with what’s on the surface, but in the way that builds confidence, empowers expression, and uplifts well-being.”
As the CEO of DMark Beauty and DermAsia, Nikki Tang finds her greatest satisfaction in helping people feel their best. But before she came to establish her name in the industry in 1998, the beauty entrepreneur shared that her passion for business had initially come from watching her mother and grandmother fulfill their own.
Around the time of DMark Beauty and DermAsia’s early years, the dermocosmetic industry had just started making its way to the mainstream, allowing the young business owner to establish her expert-formulated skincare brand ahead of the competition. “I worked closely with world-renowned skincare and aesthetics brands to ensure that our consumers could have access to quality formulations and treatments that were once only available in international beauty capitals.”

For Tang, however, the rewarding side of her work lies in the real, measurable effects that skin treatments can bring. “Seeing clients experience life-changing results is what drives my passion every day, whether it’s regaining healthier skin, overcoming a complex dermatological condition, or simply feeling more radiant.”
But throughout years of working in the beauty space, one of the greatest challenges that she had had to face was staying at the forefront of innovation, as the landscape evolves quickly, with new technologies, ingredients, and trends constantly emerging.
“My role requires visionary foresight. It’s not just about following trends, but it’s leading them, ensuring that we bring only the most effective, science-backed solutions to the market.”
Despite this, the CEO still finds excitement for the future of beauty in the Philippines, looking forward to becoming one of the leaders in dermatological care across Asia. “I cherish being a mentor and advocate for the next generation of ‘beautypreneurs,’ she shares. “I really believe that helping others build successful careers in this industry would uphold a mission of innovating beauty with purpose, ensuring that we continuously raise the bar for skincare excellence.”
Tang also hopes to see other companies contributing to the growing expertise and credibility of the local industry by strengthening collaborations with other healthcare practitioners and bringing modern innovations to emerging businesses. “With increasing access to cutting-edge dermatological advancements and aesthetic technologies, Filipino consumers are becoming more empowered in their beauty choices, embracing a future where skincare is not about temporary fixes but about sustainable, long-term skin health.”
With all these developments, Tang sees the country strengthening its place in the international dialogue of the dermocosmetics industry. And as a leader in the field, she’s eager to be at the center of that transformation, helping people feel comfortable, healthy, and at their best in their own skin. “Beauty isn’t just about aesthetics, but about empowerment, confidence, and well-being,” she shares. “I want to continue guiding the next generation of beauty entrepreneurs, ensuring that the industry can thrive together with innovation, ethics, and a shared value for excellence.”
