Danyl Geneciran and Liam Labrooy Talk On-The-Road Rituals as They Head to Vogue Threads Manila 2025

The two creatives briefly reflect on how they prepare themselves for events, and what they anticipate seeing during Vogue Threads
After moving through the weekend traffic as they head to Vogue Threads Manila 2025, Vogue Philippines editor Danyl Geneciran and model Liam Labrooy share a moment with the Vogue Philippines team to talk about a few of their on-the-road rituals and their excitement about the week-long event.
Making his way into the venue, Labrooy details a few personal agendas for the masterclasses to come. “I’m actually going to Pam’s ‘Styling as a Career’ talk, and I know we’ll both be in denim, so I really want to talk to her about the outfit she’ll show off then,” Labrooy says. “But aside from that, it’s really just to see and catch up with everyone because it’s that aspect of human connection that I really value.”
As Geneciran would be moderating a masterclass on image-making with photographers Shaira Luna and intermedia artist Archie Geotina, he expresses his anticipation of seeing fellow creatives and guests alike. “I’m excited to see how the community interacts. To me, it’s those in-between conversations and exchange of ideas that I look forward to seeing throughout Vogue Threads the most.”
The two creatives later add how riding passenger in their respective New Ford Territory Hybrid Titanium X chauffeurs allowed them to lounge and ruminate with the SUV’s soundproof acoustic glass and spacious interior. “Before any important event, I usually find myself opting for a calm and quiet ride, so I thought that the car ride was very smooth, especially considering the weather, because that just put me in the right mindset for today,” Labrooy details.
“I usually think about the traffic, but more than that, I think about the energy of the event I’m headed to, be it from the people I’ll meet, or the ideas I’ll get to hear,” Geneciran shares.
“The ride really set the pace: smooth, comfortable, and gave me that little pocket of calm before stepping into such a dynamic environment.”
