The beauty queen and Filipino arts and children’s rights advocate is all about embracing change, confidence, and self-care with Belo Medical Group
In an interview for the October 2023 issue of Vogue Philippines, the cover star and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared her thoughts about the beauty standards expected of women and how her mother’s positive outlook on it shaped her views. “For women, we’re expected to never age,” said the 31-year-old Filipino-Australian.
She continues, “I feel very lucky that my mom who was a huge role model for me, I feel like she’s embracing aging very gracefully. I’ve never heard her comment negatively on herself or her age.”
This same sentiment was echoed at the event launch of Gray as the face of Belo Medical Group’s Body Reset campaign. Held at the residence of Drs. Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho, guests gathered for a fireside chat featuring Miss Universe Philippines titleholders Celeste Cortesi and Michelle Dee. The conversation centered around confidence: what makes a person beautiful and how self-care plays in achieving that. Among the attendees were content creators David Guison, Angelique Manto, Nicole Hernandez, and Nicole Andersson, designer Chris Nick, creative director Mond Gutierrez, and Vogue beauty editor Joyce Oreña.

Gray talked about her experience doing the Body Reset Program by the Belo Medical Group. The program begins with lab tests at Belo Nexa to assess the body’s condition, followed by consultations where doctors create a personalized plan tailored to each patient’s needs. “It was really nice to be educated and be guided through what I could expect. You can just see that that’s just a little thing that I did, and I [can] carry myself in a certain way because I feel that, and that translates to confidence for me,” she shared.
The beauty queen shared that she reached out to Dr. Belo and asked about the Body Reset Program. For her, it wasn’t just about aesthetics, it was about feeling her best and defining beauty in her own terms. “I just want to be in great shape. I want to feel great. I want to have high energy, and I just want to feel strong.”

Dr. Belo recommended treatments such as Exion, which stimulates collagen production while tightening the skin, and Emsculpt, which helps build muscle and burn fat simultaneously.
For Gray, beauty isn’t a one-size-fits-all, it’s about embracing it. She puts it simply: “I’m older and that’s okay. It’s ever-shifting ‘cause we’re all ever-growing and evolving. It should be a beautiful process that should be enjoyed.”
