The Vogue Threads Manila 2025 Photo Exhibit Finds a Home at F.A.B. Creatives

Now on view at the F.A.B. Creatives campus, the Vogue Threads photo exhibit continues to support emerging Filipino talent through education.

At F.A.B. Creatives, fashion education is approached at a smaller, more deliberate scale. Classes are capped at six students, not as a selling point, but as a way to ensure instruction. “What we focus on is mentorship,” says co-founder Jojie Lloren, noting that classes proceed regardless of enrollment, even if only one student signs up. For the school, consistency and attention matter more than numbers.

This approach aligns with the goals of the Vogue Philippines Fashion Fund, an initiative that supports organizations working closely with emerging Filipino creatives across fashion, art, and culture. Following Vogue Threads Manila 2025, where a photography exhibition featured works available for purchase, Vogue Philippines brings a selection of these images to the F.A.B. Creatives campus in Pasay. Proceeds from the exhibit continue to support the Fashion Fund, extending the impact of the original show beyond the event itself.

Running from December 17 to January 17, the Vogue Threads display occupies various areas of the campus, integrating photography into hallways, staircases, and shared spaces. The works are organized around themes such as Diversity, Sense of Place, Through the Lens of Fashion, Connected by Waters, and Pearls, offering multiple entry points into how fashion photography reflects identity, environment, and cultural context.

For Lloren, the collaboration is meaningful not just for the financial support, but for what it represents. Many of the school’s mentors are active industry practitioners, bringing professional experience directly into the classroom. The curriculum is rooted in technical training: pattern making, draping, garment construction, tailoring, alongside design, fashion history, textiles, merchandising, and portfolio development. But skill-building, he emphasizes, is only part of the equation.

What the school ultimately hopes to instill is discipline. Students are trained to meet deadlines, show up prepared, and work professionally with others; habits that Lloren sees as essential to long-term careers in fashion and related fields. This mindset has begun to show in the paths taken by graduates, some of whom have participated in competitions such as Ternocon and the Bench Fashion Awards.

The school, he notes, tend to attract students who are serious about learning the craft rather than performing an image of fashion. In that sense, hosting the Vogue Threads exhibit within the school feels fitting. The partnership places images back into an educational setting, where fashion is treated not as spectacle, but as work that is learned, practiced, and sustained over time.

The Vogue Philippines Fashion Fund supports emerging Filipino talent in fashion, art, and culture by partnering with organizations that nurture creative growth. At Vogue Threads Manila 2025, a photo exhibition raised funds for its beneficiary partner, F.A.B. Creatives. Fashion+Arts+Business (F.A.B.) Creatives hones local talent across fashion, art, and culture, helping break barriers for emerging designers and shape the future of Philippine fashion through its comprehensive curriculum.

The following pieces are available for purchase and will go towards their mentor-driven fashion education. For orders and inquiries, email Beatriz San Luis at [email protected]. Some of these pieces are on view at the F.A.B. Creatives campus in Pasay, running from December 17, 2025, to January 17, 2026.
