Nicolas Ghesquière will present Louis Vuitton’s Women’s Fall-Winter 2023 Collection during Paris Fashion Week.
French luxury fashion house, Louis Vuitton, takes center stage at Paris Fashion Week. Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s creative director, is set to present the women’s Fall-Winter 2023 Show in the historic Musée d’Orsay. In his Men’s Fall-Winter 2023 show, he drew themes inherent to the DNA of the house’s menswear line, tugging ever so slightly on universal human experiences that connect people across geographical borders and various cultures. Nods to the playfulness of silhouettes, exploration of techniques, and the art of intertwining motifs were made clear by the label’s collection.
Similarly, his Women’s Spring-Summer 2023 show did not shy away from the playfulness of proportions and silhouettes. The collection had an array of oversized zippers and snaps, scraps of leather integral to the composition of each look, and mismatched prints that evidently pushed for the reinvention of a woman’s wardrobe. Ghesquière utilized distinctive embroidery, disproportioned accessories, and enlarged accents to tie the collection together.
This Paris Fashion Week show, expect unconventional statement pieces that Ghesquière is so fond of making. From his creative straightforwardness to taking the reins of shaking up the house’s signature style, there is much to be excited about for his next show.
