Once upon a time Timothée Chalamet dressed so fine. Taking a page out of David Byrne’s Met Gala playbook, the actor arrived at the London premiere of A Complete Unknown via bike. Not just any bike, but a Lime e-bike, which he rode onto the red carpet. Consider it the latest in his bizarro press tour filled with SNL double-duty and college football commentating.
Chalamet looked the part of a modern movie star in custom Martine Rose, wearing a black silk shirt splashed with blue and green flowers (that coordinated with his brightly hued bike), which he wore untucked underneath a black double-breasted suit. He also wore a pair of funky black ribbed pointy-toe loafers, a snakeskin belt, and added a touch of glamour with a Cartier diamond necklace and rings.

While it’s not entirely clear what the point of Chalamet’s red carpet bike ride was, we have some hypotheses: Perhaps it’s his 21st-century answer to Bob Dylan’s motorcycle, or maybe it’s an endorsement of eco-friendly transit (London famously has no reliable trains or busses!). Either way, Timothée Chalamet is riding along like a rolling stone.
