Matthieu Blazy has gained a fan in Selena Gomez. Tonight at the 2026 Golden Globes, Gomez is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series–Musical or Comedy Award for her role as Mabel Mora in Only Murders in the Building, and she is wearing custom Chanel.

While her Only Murders character is partial to mustard yellow, Gomez—who is celebrating her fifth Golden Globe nomination tonight—stuck to her beloved black and white color palette here. Walking the red carpet with her husband, Benny Blanco, she wore a black velvet bustier dress, festooned with over 200 flowers made from feathers, organza, and silk chiffon that hung off her shoulders. Between the construction and the detailed embroidery, it took the Chanel atelier a combined 323 hours to create the dress.

Gomez went all in on Chanel for the evening, accessorizing her look with black pointy-toe slingbacks and Chanel high jewelry earrings and rings.

The 2026 Golden Globes mark Blazy’s first awards season since his debut at the storied house. With Selena Gomez modeling this glamorous embroidered velvet dress, we’d say he’s off to a hot start.
