Filipino-Australian photographer Steph Pedersen was on duty at the Musée Rodin, capturing the stylish arrivals at Jonathan Anderson’s sophomore haute couture show for Dior.
When Men’s Fashion Week comes to a close, the fashion world’s attention turns to Paris Couture Week, where the industry’s biggest names, discerning clients, and international celebrities descend on the French capital.
Over the course of the week, the official members of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, along with international corresponding members such as Giorgio Armani Privé and guest houses including Balenciaga and Robert Wun, present collections for their most exclusive clientele to place orders for the season.
After a breakout debut last season celebrating the work of ceramicist Magdalene Odundo, Jonathan Anderson continued to shape his vision for Dior by treating couture as sculpture in motion. Inspired by American artist Lynda Benglis, the collection translated her practice of knotting, pleating, folding, and molding into fluid, three-dimensional forms and structures to be worn on the body.
Gathering to watch the show were Han So-hee, Mingyu, Sabrina Carpenter, Josh O’Connor, Grace Gummer, Ethel Cain, Eileen Gu, Alexa Chung, Pharrell Williams, Naomi Watts, Florence Hunt, Ming Xi, Ejae, and many more.
