The international star will be the face of Longchamp’s Spring-Summer 2023 campaign in Asia.
Business Proposal actress Kim Se-jeong is the new face of Longchamp in Asia. The South Korean star, who currently has over nine million Instagram followers, will be featured in the French brand’s spring-summer 2023 campaign in the region.
The actress-model’s key looks from the season’s “Glamping” ready-to-wear collection feature bold combinations of colors, prints, and materials. These are accessorized with Longchamp’s star bags, in particular the new Box-Trot in natural canvas in leather or eye-popping candy pink.
“The fact that Longchamp and I have much in common means that I feel excited, rather than pressured,” she shares in the brand’s official release. “It is an honor to collaborate with Longchamp and I feel we can maximize the relationship by playing to our strengths and similarities, such as our energy and authenticity.”
“We are delighted to welcome Kim Se-jeong to the Longchamp family,” says Longchamp creative director Sophie Delafontaine. “Not only is she an exceptionally talented performer, but her joy and energy make her great to be around. As for modeling, she was a complete natural—genuinely at ease in front of the camera and amazingly photogenic.”
The star is known in her home country for finishing second in Mnet’s girl group survival show Produce 101. She became a member of the project girl group I.O.I. and Jellyfish Entertainment’s Gugudan before pursuing a solo singing career.
She is also an acclaimed actress, winning plaudits including the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) Best Actor Award in 2022. Internationally, she shot to prominence through the aforementioned 2022 SBS romantic comedy series Business Proposal, which became one of the most popular non-English shows on Netflix in the same year.
