It’s the Pirate’s Life for Jenna Ortega in Vivienne Westwood

Jenna Ortega’s press tour wardrobe for the second season of Wednesday has eschewed the celebrity obsession with method dressing in favor of something more expansive and experimental. Rather than leaning on the looks of a haunted Victorian doll, high necks, velvet, and lace, Ortega and her stylist Enrique Melendez have stretched the gothic, glam aesthetic to include something more sea witchy.

Stepping out for the Paris premiere, the actor wore a fall 2025 ready-to-wear Vivienne Westwood gown by Andreas Kronthaler. The chocolate brown gown featured a ruffled neckline that plunges below the navel, ensconced in a sheer cream boned corset, cinched at the waist with a high front slit. Switching it up from the runway styling, she added a brown leather belt, stilettos, and Bondeye jewelry that included a heavy cross pendant. The premiere was appropriately themed Le Beach Club De Mercredi (Wednesday’s Beach Club), and saw Ortega serving up some gothy soft serve.

As for glam, her brunette hair was pulled into a soft half up, half down look with delicate front pieces by stylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez. Her eyebrows are still bleached (for a current project she’s shooting) and makeup was kept to a gray smoky eye and taupe brown lined lip by Mélanie Inglessis using Dior Beauty.

The haunted pirate look is just one of a slew of stellar turns on the Wednesday press tour. In London, Ortega opted for a reptilian skin-like gown from Ashi Studio before changing into a champagne-toned archival DKNY gown. In recent months too when promoting her film Hurry Up Tomorrow, Ortega and Melendez had a lot of fun diving into the DKNY vintage closets, giving Ortega a Carrie Bradshaw newspaper dress moment.

The first four episodes of the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday are set to hit screens on August 6, closely followed by part two and three. This season, we’ll be back once again in the twisted halls of Nevermore Academy.

And with a few more stops on the premiere and press tour to go, who’s to say what the Jenna Ortega school of goth glam will go next.
