In Bangkok, Omega’s “Her Time” exhibition celebrates the history of women’s wristwatches.
“Her Time” exalts the precision and beauty of women’s wristwatches with a presentation of historical timepieces and current innovations. With a century-old heritage in watchmaking, Omega has introduced signature designs that have become quiet yet powerful one-word wrist icons: Constellation, Ladymatic.
For Han So-hee, the South Korean actress known for her roles in World of the Married, Nevertheless, and My Name—and selected earlier this year as the new Omega ambassador—this partnership is equally appreciated. “The watch you wear says so much about your style and personality. For me, Omega offers the perfect fit for any woman. I love being here to celebrate their creativity, and to see this wonderful exhibition being brought to life,” she tells the press during the exhibit in Bangkok, Thailand.
While the exhibit shares the values of craftsmanship and the storied history of women’s watchmaking, Omega’s newest ambassador also shares her own narratives on being true to herself. “The me you are seeing now is the real me. And I don’t think I have anything—any aim for the future because I don’t [dwell] on who I want to be in the future,” she says, adding. “For me, what’s happening is the most important thing. Therefore, whatever I do I look for my happiness first.”
When asked which personality amongst the many she’s played would be the one wearing an Omega, “My character in other series’ for example, Yoon Ji-woo in My Name, she doesn’t wear watches and she doesn’t have time to look at her watch. But Yeo Da-kyung … she loves herself and she wants to express herself the best way that she can.”
Han So-Hee joins the Omega circle of inspiring women which already includes Cindy Crawford, Nicole Kidman, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kaia Gerber, Liu Shish, and Dongyu Zhou.
