OPM’s brightest stars brought their fashion A-game to the first Filipino Music Awards red carpet.

Although MTV may have bid farewell to broadcast television, a new stage for music celebration has emerged in the Philippines. In 2025, the first Filipino Music Awards premiered at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, spotlighting the pride, power, and global ascent of Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Hosted by Joey Mead King, Michael Sager, and Elijah Canlas, the event brought together more than 500 musicians, producers, and industry leaders, along with thousands of Filipino music fans who filled the stadium with vibrant cultural energy.

Before the main show began, guests made their way down an FMA-branded photo wall, expressing their musical identities through the medium of style. Black dominated the arrivals; seen in tailored mod suits, sleek body-skimming gowns, and grungy separates, while white, cream, and piña emerged as the evening’s unifying palette. Contemporary interpretations of the barong Tagalog stood out on the red carpet, with Jericho Rosales and Michael Sager both wearing Joey Samson. Among the women, opulent and extravagant appeal took control with Janine Gutierrez in Andrea Tetangco, and Michelle Dee in Mark Bumgarner
