Angelina Jolie was mastering the art of “quiet luxury” long before it became a trend, from The Row shirting to Loro Piana knitwear. Another case in point? The vintage Chanel jacket from her own archives that she’s been spotted wearing twice in recent months.
The actor was first photographed wearing the cream double-breasted jacket, featuring a quilted lapel, while attending a White House state dinner with her son Maddox back in April. On that occasion, she paired the blazer with a sweeping ivory gown, also vintage Chanel, along with statement gold jewelry and a matching gold clutch bag.
Proving the versatility of her vintage Chanel jacket, Jolie was seen wearing the slouchy piece again while in Rome this week. This time around, she teamed the piece with a summery white maxi dress, along with a YSL clutch bag and a pair of large shades.
Jolie’s latest repeat-wear exemplifies her sustainable approach to her wardrobe, which she outlined in a British Vogue interview back in 2021. “I invest in quality pieces, and then just wear them to death,” the cover star explained. “Boots, a favorite coat, a favorite purse, I don’t change things often, you know?”
With everyone from the Princess of Wales to Barbie on board with the vintage Chanel trend right now, Jolie’s blazer might just be her best investment yet.
