Alex Consani stole the show at Vogue World 2025: Hollywood—dressed in Valentino couture, no less.

Closing out the “Summer of Love” section, Consani wore Alessandro Michele’s interpretation of the costumes Sandy Powell designed for the 1992 film Orlando, starring Tilda Swinton. “I’ve done a lot of films, but there are very few where I was given the amount of artistic license and freedom I had on Orlando,” Powell told Vogue in the November 2025 issue.

Tonight, Hunter Schafer hit the runway wearing the original Orlando costume, while Consani played her haute couture counterpart. The model wore an off-white peasant blouse with ruffled sleeves, a leather studded corset, teal and white bloomers, and a magnificent ruffled cape.

“It’s not just about physicality and the coloring—it’s about how they present themselves, how they hold themselves. And their opinions really count, because we are building a character,” Powell said of collaborating with actors. “I’m not just putting dresses on people or making somebody look good to go out for the night. It’s making somebody believe in a character.” It’s safe to say that at Vogue World 2025: Hollywood, Alex Consani made us believe the character.
