The Vogue Philippines publisher is the fifth Filipino to join The Business of Fashion’s global cohort shaping fashion’s present and future.

Archie G. Carrasco, chairman and CEO of AGC Power Holdings Corp. and Vogue Philippines publisher, has been named one of the 100 individuals joining this year’s edition of The BoF 500, The Business of Fashion announced today.

At the helm of the Philippines’ largest media holding company, Carrasco’s portfolio of titles includes the Philippine editions of Vogue, GQ, Allure, Billboard, Harper’s Bazaar, and Rolling Stone, as well as mainstay local publications MEGA and Lifestyle Asia, and more.

While the work spans genres, he tells Vogue Philippines that throughout his decades-spanning career he remained committed to a singular purpose: “To bridge the Philippines to the world,” he says. “I want our platforms to bring the world’s best ideas and institutions to Filipino audiences, but equally important is the other direction: taking Filipino talent, creativity, and stories to the world.”

He also understands what this recognition can represent beyond him, speaking to the strength of the local publishing industry and the Filipino creatives and catalysts behind it. “Being included in the BoF 500 is deeply meaningful because I see it as recognition not only of my own journey but of the growing place of the Philippines in the global fashion conversation,” Carrasco reflects. “I have always believed that Filipino creativity deserves to be seen alongside the best in the world.”

He continues, “To be recognized on this platform tells me that the world is paying attention, and that our responsibility now is to create even more opportunities for others to be seen.”

The BoF 500 chronicles the diverse voices driving fashion forward annually, based on community nominations, research, and market intelligence. Since its inception in 2013, it has grown into a community of 1,713 members spanning 98 nations. The BoF 500 Class of 2026 comprises 47 nationalities, with Belize, Finland, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Uganda represented for the first time.

Carrasco’s inclusion makes him the fifth Filipino to join the index, following Anton Tantoco Huang, president and CEO of SSI Group, Inc.; V Magazine founder Stephen Gan; the fashion blogger Bryan Grey Yambao known as Bryanboy; and H&F Retail Concepts founder and managing partner Jappy Gonzalez.
