Since its inception in 2013, the BoF 500 has grown into a global index of 1,613 members representing 98 nationalities. “We put together this year’s class at a unique inflection point for fashion as the industry contends with shifting geopolitics, economic dislocation and sweeping technological change,” said BoF founder and CEO Imran Amed. Notably, Montenegro, Mongolia, Cameroon and Panama are represented for the first time, signaling how fashion’s centre of gravity continues to shift.

This year, one Filipino joined the prestigious index: Anton Tantoco Huang, President and CEO of SSI Group, Inc. His inclusion makes him the fourth Filipino to join the BoF 500, following V Magazine founder Stephen Gan and fashion blogger Bryan Grey Yambao (Bryanboy) in 2013, and H&F Retail Concepts founder and managing director Jappy Gonzalez in 2017.
