Anne Hathaway just kicked off New York Fashion Week and her The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour in one fell swoop.
Unlike Andy Sachs, who would be sitting second (or, more likely, third) row as an assistant, Hathaway graced the front row at Ralph Lauren’s fall 2026 show in New York—and rather than embrace method dressing, the star opted for one of Lauren’s fall 2025 looks: a backless halter dress made of diaphanous diagonal strips of black lace.
Model Lulu Tenney debuted the look on the runway, wearing the gothic-meets-boho dress with a pair of black underwear and a black open-toe heel. Hathaway, however, gave it her own movie-star twist with a faux fur and ostrich feather shrug, heaps of gold jewelry, black boots, and a Miranda Priestly-worthy pair of black sunglasses.
Andy Sachs would never. Thankfully, Anne Hathaway did.
