As one of the “Big Four” fashion capitals, Milan continues to set the tone for global trends with fashion shows officially underway in Milan. Vogue Philippines fashion director Pam Quiñones and correspondent Patricia Burén give us a glimpse into the spring 2025 collections.

This post is continuously updated with all of Pam Quiñones and Patricia Burén’s activities at Milan Fashion Week. Keep checking for exclusive content that won’t be released on social media feeds.

Herno

Herno describes their spring 2025 collection as “a renewed sense of femininity, where versatility melds with refined elegance, responding to the modern woman’s desires.” With a color palette that ranges from black to blush pink, the collection uses linen, silk, and nylon to create trench coats, shirt jackets, kimonos, and eveningwear.

Jil Sander

Lucie and Luke Meier took their cues from Canadian photographer Greg Girard for Jil Sander’s spring 2025 collection. Girard’s images appeared as prints, featured on a boxy shirt, pencil skirt, and a caban and matching shift. The color palette of the collection was also taken from Griard’s nighttime photos, visible in the iridescent suiting for the opening looks. Softer elements were also present in the form of dip-dyed shirt-and-skirt sets, a pastel midi-dress, and rib-knit separates.

Del Core

At Del Core, sheer, utilitarian layers, swirl-hemmed knits, and crushed silk goddess dresses set the tone for their spring 2025 collection. The show opened with a series of billowing, oversized white organza trench coats and layered separates. As the collection evolved, more structured pieces emerged: tailored pantsuits with a relaxed fit, featuring tapered trousers, alongside cropped, fitted leather jackets paired with shorts.

From sophisticated rich browns and skin tones to navy with indigo and slate gray, Max Mara’s spring 2025 collection showcases their mastery of neutral dressing with impeccable tailoring and knitwear. The collection also showcases impeccably-cut coats cinched at the waist with belt bags-cum-clutches, draped linen dresses with smart cutouts, and slim jackets with peek-a-boo backs.

Anteprima

On Instagram, Anteprima writes that the spring 2025 collection “offers a moment of tranquility and reprieve, with minimalist designs and understated elegance that speak volumes in their simplicity.” Soft fabrics and lightweight, layered materials are featured in warm, vibrant tones and cool and transluscent shades.

Prada

At Prada, their spring 2025 collection revisits and draws inspiration from some of its best looks over the years. The collection introduced goggle hats, porthole skirts, skirts suspended from harnesses and trimmed with long white leather fringe. It also featured sportswear with shirt collars and hems tilted at odd angles. Quiñones shares that the collection is pulled together with deliberate chaos. “A move that perhaps humanizes our relationship with dressing and a reaction to pervading homogeneity in fashion,” she writes in the Vogue Philippines Instagram broadcast channel.

Tod’s

For the Tod’s spring 2025 collection, Matteo Tamburini took inspiration from Italian summer landscapes captured by photographer Luigi Ghirri, Carlo Borleinghi’s regatta photography, and primitive Cyladic sculptures. The result is a Mediterranean journey, wherein structure and fluidity was explored in the collection.

Gucci

Sabato De Sarno takes Gucci attendees back to the La Triennale, where the set was designed to evoke a feeling of an endless summer. The spring 2025 collection opened with a wool bomber paired with slouchy trousers and sneakers, and as the show progressed archival print headscarves and big sunglasses were showcased on the runway. Structured jackets, oversized coats, and loafer boots also make its way into the collection.

Versace

For Versace’s spring 2025 collection, Donatella Versace looked back on the spring 1997 Versus show. A collection she designed in her own image, Versace gives Versus an updated feel with patterned knits and floral prints, slip dresses, and cardigans, denim, and champagne stem heels.

Bally

At Bally, Simone Bellotti showcases a spring 2025 collection that experiments with form. He revisits the sloped-shoulder silhouette in the collection, crafting it into the necklines of coats and blazers. Also taking inspiration from Dadaism, Bellotti says that in this collection, he is “finding an equilibrium between rationality and whimsy.”

Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta sets the scene with animal beanbag chairs that put the crowd in a playful mood. For spring 2025, the label taps into its inner child: frogs perch at the neckline of a dress, bunny-shaped lapel on leather coats, a scarf top is printed with a giant fish.
