It’s no wonder why each one of them has been tapped as an ambassador for a major fashion house.
Blackpink is the most popular all-girl music group today. Since the release of the first album, Square One, in 2016, the band members—Jisoo Kim, Jennie Kim, Rosé Park, and Lisa Manoban—have broken numerous records with their high-energy pop music, and garnered a dedicated army of fans, aka Blinks.
But what’s also worth noting is their personal style, as each member’s taste for fashion differs from the other. Plus, with brand endorsements from the likes of Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent, and Celine, the Blackpink girls have proven that their world domination extends far beyond the music.
From Jennie modernizing a classic bouclé skirt suit, to Lisa effortlessly mixing streetwear and luxe separates, we chart why Blackpink is the most fashionable girl band below.
Jisoo Kim
South Korean-born Jisoo, 27, likes to keep things elegant and girly, while maintaining comfort, when it comes to dressing. As a brand ambassador for Dior, it comes as no surprise that creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri dedicated the brand’s autumn/winter 2021 collection to Jisoo. Apart from being decked out in Dior, the singer loves pieces from Rokh, Amiri and Loewe.
Jennie Kim
It’s no secret that Jennie, 26, is obsessed with Chanel. Having worn a multitude of pieces by the Parisian powerhouse, it’s clear that the singer has a penchant for French-girl style. Whether off-duty, or on the red carpet, Jennie has been seen wearing bouclé skirt suits, cardigans and little dresses in keeping with her classic vibe. Fun fact: Jennie is confirmed to appear in The Weeknd’s upcoming series, The Idol, alongside Lily-Rose Depp.
Rosé Park
Rosé, 25, has a knack for putting together a pared-back chic ensemble. With an enormous collection of hoodies, high-waisted jeans and cropped T-shirts, the singer’s off-duty vibe is very much relaxed. But—true to being an official Saint Laurent girl—Rosé amps things up for evening events in statement party frocks. Her little monochromatic moment with Anthony Vaccarello at the 2021 Met Gala is prime example of this.
Lisa Manoban
Born and raised in Thailand before moving to South Korea, Lisa, 25, is a muse to Hedi Slimane, as well as being a brand ambassador for Celine. Her off-duty style blends streetwear with luxe separates—Acne Studios, Praying and Supreme (and Celine, of course) are among her favorite brands. But when it comes to eveningwear, the rapper tends to err on the ultra-glam side of style (that jaw-dropping gold set by Korean label Pinkong at the Bvlgari event in Paris springs to mind.)
