Midweek at Vogue Threads Manila 2025 highlights design as both legacy and invention. In “Building a Career in Fashion,” Jojie Lloren and Joey Samson speak on the discipline behind creative practice, emphasizing mentorship, training, and financial literacy as essential to sustaining a career.

The conversation continues with Jaggy Glarino, Joyce Makitalo, Noel Manapat, and Rita Nazareno, who explore how Filipino design can transform heritage for contemporary contexts while remaining rooted in identity and responsibility. Their dialogue frames design as a system of continuity, where innovation requires new forms as well as structures that allow traditions to endure.

The day closes with Inno Sotto in “Curiosity, Couture, and the Craft of Fashion.” Reflecting on decades of authorship, he shares how detail, discipline, and curiosity shape couture that is both timeless and personal, reminding the audience that curiosity is the designer’s most powerful tool.
