Allure Philippines, the latest edition of the globally renowned beauty authority, has officially announced Rissa Mananquil Trillo as editor-in-chief.

Allure is set to launch its Philippine edition in March 2025, and leading the charge is Rissa Mananquil Trillo. A seasoned beauty entrepreneur, author, and advocate with over 20 years of experience, Rissa will serve as the publication’s editor-in-chief.

“I am excited to have Rissa leading Allure Philippines, bringing her deep-rooted passion and vision for beauty and wellness into this new edition,” says Archie Carrasco, chairman and CEO of Mega Global Licensing Inc. “Rissa’s expertise and commitment to both beauty and advocacy will undoubtedly make Allure Philippines a source of inspiration and authority for our audience.”

Rissa’s career has spanned modeling, journalism, and business. She started as a top model in the Philippines, became a columnist for The Philippine Star, and later served as president of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP), where she introduced reforms to protect models’ rights. She also co-founded a successful beauty brand and earned recognition as Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017.

Beyond business, Rissa is a champion for sustainability and gender equality, working with organizations like UN Women Philippines. She holds degrees in Business Management and Business Sustainability Management, combining her expertise in beauty with a focus on responsible practices. As editor-in-chief, Rissa plans to use Allure Philippines to explore how beauty intersects with wellness, identity, and culture.

“With over three decades of unparalleled beauty reporting, Allure has established itself as the most trusted global beauty authority by offering expert-validated advice that speaks to real-world beauty needs. The entry of Allure Philippines will pioneer a new era of beauty expertise for Filipinos,” Rissa says.

She hopes to bring both global insights and local perspectives to Filipino audiences, creating content that feels relevant, thoughtful, and empowering. “What excites me most is the power of beauty to influence change. Leading Allure Philippines allows me to shape how Filipinos see themselves through stories of beauty, wellness, authenticity, diversity, inclusivity, social responsibility, and empowerment. We won’t just be reporting on beauty—we’re actively shaping it for the next generation.”

With Rissa at the helm, Allure Philippines is gearing up for its debut. Whether through expert advice, personal stories, or industry insights, the publication aims to be more than just a beauty guide but also a platform for change.
