Lan Samantha Chang is an award-winning Iowa-based writer who is the author of the books "The Family Chao," "All Is Forgotten, Nothing Is Lost," "Inheritance," and the short story collection called "Hunger." She is a teacher and director at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Yale University where she studied East Asian Studies. She later obtained her Master of Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
