Jacob Maentz is an American documentary photographer who currently serves as a project photographer at Blue Earth Alliance.
He published the photography book called "Homelands" together with writer Nicola Sebastian in 2022. The book is a result of Maentz's "close and continuing collaboration with various Indigenous and historically marginalized communities in the Philippines."
He has worked with several clients and publications worldwide including BBC Travel, Discovery Channel Magazine, Lonely Planet, The Guardian, National Geographic Traveler, World Food Programme, UNESCO, World Wildlife Fund, Philippine Department of Tourism, Chrysler, World Animal Protection, Save the Children, and more.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University where he studied conservation biology. Afterwards, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer from 2003-2005 in Palawan.
