A creative industry veteran, Milan Djacic brings over a decade of experience to the role.

Vogue Adria is the newest edition of Vogue covering Croatia, Serbia, and Slovenia, as well as former Yugoslavia countries such as Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro. Belgrade-based creative industry veteran Milan Djacic is appointed as editor-in-chief, projected to lead the burgeoning title with an artistic vision honed through a decade of leadership experience in print and digital media. “I see Vogue Adria as a melting pot where borders and barriers are transcended through art, activism, and fashion,” he says.  “My vision is based on the idea that those are three pillars necessary for any sort of exchange and dialogue.”

Previously, Djacic served as fashion director at ELLE Serbia, becoming the youngest within ELLE’s global network to hold the title, followed by time spent as editor-in-chief at Elle Man Serbia and BURO.Serbia, a fashion-and-arts-focused digital platform. Now at Vogue Adria, he has plans to explore untapped narratives within the Adriatic region through the title’s international perspective.

“With strong voices, powerful creative visions, and reinvention of the local fashion and culture scene, Vogue Adria will build an auspicious bridge between collective legacy on one hand and modern ideas and visions on the other,” Djacic says. “Our platform will inspire dialogues, reinforce collaborations, and promote collectivity.”

As Vogue Adria is set to launch in print and digital in March of next year, Djacic leads a “youthful and passionate” editorial team based across the capital cities of Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia, “with whom I share ideas, visions, and goals.” This launch will mark the 29th edition of Vogue, following the September 2022 debut of Vogue Philippines.
