Filipino jewelry designer LUCCE Rings presents an Ecuadorian rose-inspired collection that gives new meaning to the flower’s unique heritage
In 2021, model Jasmine Tookes married tech executive Juan David Borrero in a cathedral enveloped in Ecuadorian white roses, while, in that same year, musician Travis Barker proposed to his now-wife, Kourtney Kardashian, in a ring of the South American blossoms along the Montecito shore. Kansas City’s own Travis Kelce, however, created his own pocket fantasy world for fiancée Taylor Swift, decorating his hometown garden with a variety of the renowned flora.
But what exactly makes the Ecuadorian rose the epitome of romantic expression among celebrities and industry elites? Born in the Andes Mountains, these flowers are regarded for bearing one of the largest and densest blooms in the world, becoming an expression of deep, lasting affection understood by all.
And while the rose is also recognized for its longer vase life when compared to other varieties, Filipino jewelry brand LUCCE Rings thought to immortalize each of the rose’s details through the LUCCE ECUADORIAN™ Collection. From cathedral-set engagement rings to a pendant necklace decorated in marquise-cut leaves, each piece is also made with a selection of responsibly mined LUMIÉRE™ natural diamonds, turning local storytelling and craftsmanship into layered messages of lasting romance.
Engagement Rings
At the forefront of the LUCCE ECUADORIAN™ Collection comes the Pear Diamond and Pavé Pear Diamond engagement rings. Made in variations of gold and platinum, the two envelop their pome fruit stones in an overlapping petal prong design, trailing into a knife-edge band that the latter embellishes with a double diamond pavé design. Additionally, the Fili Oval Diamond ring engraves an interlacing pattern of the rose’s leaves across the band, recreating the Ecuadorian rose’s silhouette with each detail.
Bridal Wedding Bands
Subtlety is kept at the centerfold of the Pavè wedding band, as its double-edged design comes decorated with a double diamond pavé trail across the ring’s upper half. The Lush wedding band, on the other hand, follows a flowing pattern of marquise-cut leaves and round-cut flower motifs, creating a looping wreath of diamonds and gold.
Unisex Wedding Bands
In mirroring each other’s design language, the Amo and Fili wedding bands feature carved lines of the Ecuadorian flower’s leaves within and along the ring’s dome-shaped silhouette. The latter also features accents of round-cut diamonds in between its patterns, creating an understated yet layered symbol of commitment and affection.
