Crafted by American Jewelry Designer Francesca Amfitheatrof, Louis Vuitton’s ‘Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds’ High Jewelry Collection takes its inspiration from the innovations of the early 19th century
The first sunrise of the 19th century marked an era of inspiration for the people of France, as with the end of royal court rule came sudden growths in the industries of science and fashion as well as the widespread adoption of steam engines and savoir-faire across the country.
In this next phase of Francesca Amfitheatrof’s “Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds” High Jewelry collection for Louis Vuitton, the French maison tapped artist Heart Evangelista as she strolled through an overcast Paris, showcasing a vision of an independent woman who is as remarkable as the stones she wears.
Dynamisme
Reflecting soft light off of Evangelista’s collar hangs the Dynamisme necklace, a two-strand, open chevron-linked piece inspired by the blurred silhouettes that trail behind objects captured at high speeds.
Worn alongside its similarly designed bracelet, the ensemble is made with platinum and diamond-set yellow gold bands to create a winding stretch filled in by V-shaped links that lead to two off-centered 1.59-carat LV Monogram Star-cut diamonds, simulating what the brand shares as a representation of interconnectedness in motion.
Splendeur
As Heart stands center of a lamp-lit Paris avenue, the model-actress wears the gothic design-inspired Splendeur pendant necklace to complete her Spring-Summer 2025 look. With a low-hanging chain design made with alternating platinum and yellow gold links, the piece draws its inspiration directly from the maison’s Monogram Flower motif, highlighting its influence through an 8.69-carat Ruby from Mozambique with similar details placed along its chain.
Vision
Complementing her similarly geometric jacket, Evangelista leans by her hotel balcony as she wears the Vision ensemble’s necklace, bracelet, and rings, which were designed to pay homage to the heritage of locomotive steam engines and their influence on modern travel and technology.
Crafted with angular cuts and patterns made from diamond baguettes and triangle-cut platinum, a 50.01-carat Sri Lankan Sapphire then stands center of the necklace’s silhouette, subtly accompanied by a 3.07-carat LV Monogram Star-cut diamond just beneath it.
Elegance
Before slipping into her evening look, the jet-set creative shares a view of the Parisian cityscape as she wears the open-weave design of the Elegance tiara. Shared by Louis Vuitton as the representation of the collection’s concept, the band intersecting points were then detailed with layered LV Monogram Star-cut diamonds, creating a wrapping band that is as intentionally feminine as it is elegant.
Gravité
Complementing her navy blue dress, Evangelista wears the collection’s Gravité rings as she takes her evening leave along the Paris city center. Made predominantly of white gold and set with deep blue cabochon-cut sapphires and LV Monogram Star-cut diamonds, the jewelry set, in its entirety, draws its inspiration from French physicist Lèon Foucault and his sand pendulum experiment, which showcased the Earth’s rotation with relation to its own.
For Amfitheatrof, she believes that the 50-piece collection’s representation of the intersections between fashion and science resonates with the brand’s pillars and identity, sharing, “By showing this mixture of craftsmanship, engineering, invention, and bravery, we are really talking about Louis Vuitton. This Collection signifies everything that is true to the Maison, true to French luxury, true to Art de Vivre – and we couldn’t celebrate in a better way.”
